CME’s relationship with industry
Journal of Continuing Education in the Health Professions 1990; 10:189-190
Abstract:
By and large the alliance between continuing medical education providers and commercial companies is a healthy one that benefits the health care professions, the commercial companies and the public. The author offers a series of principles to keep in mind when undertaking CME activities. He also cautions doctors that their ethical standards when it comes to CME need to be as high as those demanded from the pharmaceutical industry.
