Medical education and the pharmaceutical industry.
J Gen Intern Med 1990 Jan-Feb; 5:(1):91-2
Abstract:
The pharmaceutical industry is increasingly involved with various aspects of medical education: sponsorship of CME, recruiting physicians to write monographs on various topics, holding national conferences that coincide with the launch of a new product, sponsoring supplements in medical journals. Protocols are suggested for the funding and selection of speakers at CME events.
